Abstract

The authors have considered an engineering solution to develop the Karnasurtsky thin flat ore bodies
located in the Lovozersky deposit by a double-cut
mining method. It has been set that the stoping excavation of balance reserves by double-cuts will
make it possible to apply rock anchor for supporting
roof’s rocks. The rock anchor application in a stoping face with a limited height instead of in-block pillars and a selective excavation technology in terms
of ore and rocks blast-separation of footwall in a
second cut reduce losses and dilution of the mined
ore by 9-11% and 22-27%, correspondinly.
