Abstract

The paper shows the study results of methods and stages of the transition process of adapting the quarry transport systems to changing conditions of complex deep-lying deposits development as a conceptual basis for the strategy and the situation forecasting of their development. Using the model with interactive intervention in the organization of the transport process, the problems of parametric adaptation of mining transport systems with different combinations of basic technological equipment in specific mining conditions of the JSC “Uralasbest” open-pit mine have found their solutions. In order to improve the methodological basis to assess the adaptation of transport systems of quarries with modern approaches to the feasibility study of projects, we have developed a technique of technical and economic comparison of modern and promising types of quarry transport and an algorithm for comparing different types of transport, which allows to increase the accuracy and reliability of the results of comparison by means of transport, to determine the preferred conditions for their use in the quarry zones.
The use of improved methods of technical and economic comparison of modes of transport and innovative solutions in the field of geotechnology allowed us to establish that in the quarries, where complex deep-seated deposits of minerals are being
developed, it is advisable to implement cyclic-flow technology with road-conveyor transportation of ore from the very beginning of its production.
