Abstract

In terms of earlier performed researches the criterion of hard rocks’ destruction is proposed. Methodological foundations of its obtaining with brief
theoretical calculations are set forth. Its analysis
and the results interpretation are performed. The
slope angle value of the most dangerous area in the
cut-off limit equilibrium for different levels of
stressed state is analyzed. It is shown that this angle’s value is not constant one, it depends on the
values of limiting components of principal stresses.
Particular cases of the proposed criterion both for
perfectly granular and perfectly coherent medium
are reviewed. Fundamental difference of the Mohr
and Coulomb criteria is pointed to. The proposed
criterion advantages to known analogue when it is
used as the yield surface (plastic potential) are indicated. Physical interpretation of the dilatancy
phenomenon is given.
