Abstract

The necessity for maintaining production capacity
of the Urupsky underground mine causes transition
to mining deep horizons, the efficiency of which
largely depends on the correct selection of the
method of opening and the transport scheme of ore
mined. In terms of engineering and technical and
economic comparison of options according to the
criterion of minimum discounted capital outlays on
conducting mining workings and acquiring excavating and transport equipment it is determined that
ore phased opening by the grade with road transport
provides for timely and efficient transition to mining
deep horizons without losing production capacity by
the mine.
