Abstract

As a result of quite active mineral deposits development within few centuries a large number of dumps,
warehouses, storage facilities tailings has been
formed in the Urals. Technogenic mineral formations arisen in the site of the natural landscape
have negative impact on the environment, land resources in particular .The ability of technogenic disturbed ecosystems to self-rehabilitation in the areas
of mineral deposits development is determined by
biochemical processes that take place in them.. Consequently, the geo-ecological evaluation of land resources transformation and their spatial contamination should be based both on the chemical and analytic researches as well as on soil gas phase analysis in order to identify the features of carbon dioxide distribution as an indicator of biological activity and opportunities of damaged ecosystem to
self-rehabilitation.
