Abstract

Model representations of different types of fractured
rock masses are considered. Forecasts of these rock
mass deformation characteristics based on fractal
dimension of rocks’ fracture structure are given.
The results are used to form models of rock mass
stressed-deformed state by the finite element
method. The simulation results provide grounds for
predicting underground workings stability in the
conditions of fractured rock mass.
