ON THE PECULIARITIES OF PRODUCTION DRILLING AND BLASTING OPERATIONS IN THE NORTH

Abstract

The article describes features of production drilling
and blasting operations in the North. The problems
professionals are faced with in the organization and
production provision of drilling and blasting operations at low temperatures and in frozen soils are
shown. The tasks of drilling operations organization
as well as ways of increasing the intensification of
the process are cited .The approach to specific explosives consumption in terms of the calculated values special analysis obtained by different formulas,
as well as by comparative analysis of some calculation methods is set forth. The main factors influencing the numerical value are adduced.. It is shown
that the specific consumption of explosives preliminary determination should be based on the main factors of the ultimate strength for uniaxial compression (castle rocks), size of individual array (fracture) and the necessary degree of crushing. Clarification should be conducted on the results of the test
blasting in the process of construction and open pit
development.
