Abstract

The purpose of the work was producing initial data
for designing the optimal scheme and methodology
for monitoring deformation processes in sloping
structures and near-pit edge rock mass of the "East"
open pit, providing the attainment of pit edge slopes
maximum values due to complete control of deformation processes and undertaking efficient corrective measures for keeping up stability. Geodetic-engineering field studies on determining technogenous
displacements of survey stations, trend survey stations geo-dynamic displacements as well as cyclic
short-periodical geo-dynamic movements were performed. Besides, geo-physical field works on studying rock mass structure and the preliminary assessment of tectonic faults geodynamic activity were
carried out
