Abstract

For extraction of underground reserves of interjacent zone (sublevel 366 / 346 m) a variant of room-and-pillar mining system has been used, it has a large amount of operational losses. IM of UB of RAS has developed a technical project with main technical solutions for excavating the reserves of vein № 175 on the level 346/316 m by chamber system of exploitation followed
by the collapse of pillars, which allows to reduce significantly the balance reserve loss of high-value quartz in subsoil. The main principles of the project and technical solutions for geotechnical and geomechanical justification of safe and efficient development of reserves on sublevel 346/324 m are shown. Based on current miningtechnical and geomechanical conditions,
a procedure for phased exploitation of pillar reserves and cancellation of worked out space on sublevel 346/324 m is recommended. The variants of pillars excavation and schemes of cancellation of worked out space have been examined and their technical and economic comparison has been conducted.
