At Magnezitovaya mine of Magnezit group the reserves of magnesite have been processed by the sublevel-chamber system of development in layers in ascending order with supporting the roof by band (columhar) pillars using dry backfilling of the
worked out space. With regard to the conditions of the Satkinsky deposit of magnesites, taking into account its mining
and geological features (the physical and mechanical characteristics of ores and of enclosing rocks, the conditions of occurrence of orebody deposits, the tendensy of deposit building rocks to rock bumps, the sulphurous gas blowing of hydrogen sulphide), the need to save industrial and civil facilities on the surface, the value properties of the evaluated mineral, as well as the need to separate the ore in grades during mining, the version of the sublevel-chamber system of development with a hardening backfilling with the arrangement of chambers across the strike of the orebody is proposed as the main one to develop mineral resources. The proposed modification of the development system aims increasing the resistance and stability of the roof due to the vault configuration.
