The article presents a brief overview of the research results in the field of blasting operations in confined spaces
and ensuring seismic safety of protected objects. The
methodological techniques developed in the Institute of
Mining, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
for the calculation of permissible distances from a technological explosion to the protected object depend on the
weight of explosive in a stage of deceleration, the ratio of
soil conditions and permissible speed of seismic vibrations.
The sequence of carrying out and regulation of drilling
and blasting operations in the near-circuit zone is described, that is, the study of the impact of the explosion on
the rock mass, the establishment of regularities of wave
processes, the determination of the interaction of charges
of the contour tape depending on the strength characteristics of the rock mass, conducting pilot tests of presplit
formation, the definition of a step-by-step approach of
technological explosions to the protected area.
The information is given on the development and testing
of safety shelters to minimize the spread of fragments
while blasting, as well as materials for initiating destruction in the field conditions of large diameter pipes.
