Abstract

A serie of seismic observations to monitor the stability of the open pit walls during blasting operations have been performed. Possibility of zoning of the minefield through the seismicity coefficient has been shown to identify the most seismic-sensitive areas in the open pit near which blasting operations should be carried out with the special caution. Dependence of the displacement velocity in various zones of the open pit have been obtained.
