The results of complex geodynamic studies of mountain ranges of critical subsoil management objects are considered, and the relevance of studying the mineral composition of clayey deposits of the weathering crust is demonstrated. The mineral composition of argillaceous rocks determines the degree of thixotropic decompaction under mechanical action, including the appearance of new geodynamic movements. Full information about the properties of the rocks of the massif under investigation during geodynamic diagnostics will allow finding solutions for ensuring the safety of subsoil managing objects, and will reduce economic losses.
