CONVEYOR TRANSPORT FOR DEEP OPEN- PIT MINES

Abstract

The paper describes the various types of conveyor transport, which can be used in open-pit mines down
to 500 meters or more deep. We have presented the
advantages and disadvantages of such types of conveyor transport as steep inclined conveyor, tubular conveyor, scraper conveyor. We have analyzed the conditions for application of one or another considered type of conveyor transport. The paper describes the experience of application of conveyor transport in the conditions of deep open-pit mines. We have made the conclusion about the applicability of conveyor transport at deep open-pit mines.
