ABOUT REGULARITIES OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE COAL INDUSTRY

Abstract

On the example of the coal industry the paper shows the stability of the basic regularities of development of the mining industry, as S.A. Batugin and V.L. Yakovlev have formulated them. Relations between the regularities, their influence on each other are considered. It shows that the growth of coal production and export-import operations in the world will continue, but the pace in different regions will vary. The regularities of the growth of the depth of development, the outpacing growth of the extracted from the subsoil volumes of rock mass in comparison with the growth of coal production, the expansion of its use will remain. The period of relatively simple development of the coal industry, when it was possible to predict for a long time with a high probability on matching of plans and fact, is almost over. We can note that the list of regularities requires additions. This is due to the growing uncertainty and unpredictability of technological, economic and information development in the world, the complexity of the conditions for the development of heterogeneous in structure and properties of coal deposits, the objective need to improve the efficiency of the chains of exploration, production, enrichment and supply of quality coal products to competitive markets. The paper substantiate the necessity of taking into account the high variability of market conditions and coal prices in the conditions of complexity of their forecasting in the functioning of mining enterprises. It notes the objective necessity of supplementing the list with the regularity of improving the efficiency of the mining and processing complex based on the use of information and computer technologies.
