Abstract

The article assesses the existing methods of quality management of mineral raw materials in mining as well as possible ways to improve their efficiency. It gives the criteria for assessing the ore mass depending on the mineral and chemical composition, structural and other features. The article presents the results of the development of the technique of zoning in the quarry space after technological types of ores, taking into account the complex assessment of the qualitative characteristics of the mineral based on modern geoinformation technologies (GIS). For the interpretation of data in GIS, two main methods are proposed: express method and detailed method, which require the preliminary creation of a geological database and allow reliable assessment and zoning in the ore quarry on qualitative characteristics. The methods differ in the complexity of implementation, detail and the ability to adjust the developed models depending on the established or changed requirements for the quality of the mineral. The improved mining and geological information system allows to zone technological types and grades of ores with high reliability in the quarry space, which contributes to the selection of the most effective method of ore preparation in the ore quality management mode for specific mining and geological conditions at the stage of mining planning. Examples of zoning of technological types of ores in the quarry space and methodological approaches to the choice of effective ways to control the quality of mineral raw materials in the conditions of depredating mining and geological conditions of mining, and
increasing requirements for product quality are given.
