The paper reviews the problems of land supervision that arise as a result of the environmental impact of mining and processing plants. The result of the impact was a reduction in productive land and an increase in land disturbed by mining operations. The mining territory includes the mining and land allotment (land plots for mining and infrastructure), as well as the special zones arising from mining. An effective mechanism to control the quality and use of the land fund is the monitoring of land in the impact zone of mining and processing plants, which is an integral part of the state monitoring of land. The rational use and protection of land depends to a large extent on the effectiveness of supervision activities and the observance of land rights, which are often violated in practice. So it is required to provide the state land and environmental supervision of land conditions in mining areas.
