THE INFLUENCE OF MINING AND PROCESSING WORKS ON THE DYNAMICS OF DISTURBED LAND AREAS

Abstract

The purpose of the article was revealing the dynamics of disturbed lands at a mining and processing
works JSC "Apatite" in the period from 1999 to
2012. The study revealed the location and area of
disturbed lands with varying degree of disturbance.
Research data for 13 years have shown that the
area of disturbed land increased in Kirovsk district
to 167.77 hectares of the total area of disturbed
lands and to 80 hectares in the Apatite district
